Soul Roll Grace Outreach is a Glendale-based team with one daily goal: get a hot, dignified meal into the hands of our unhoused neighbors across the West Valley — and stay long enough to learn their names. These are the stories of what that has meant.
Every plate we hand out starts a conversation. Some of those conversations turn into rides to a clinic, a first job interview, a call home after years of silence. We can describe the work all day — but the people who lived it say it better. Everything below was written by a neighbor, a volunteer, or a partner, and shared with their permission.
I really enjoyed serving at the Serenity Apartment outreach event last month, period. I most enjoyed serving and working with multiple races within the community. I believe this example represents God's kingdom, which is not for one race or people, but for all who share and believe in His story.
